Investment Dictionary - Rebalancing
The process of restoring a portfolio to its original asset allocations. Rebalancing can be accomplished either through adding newly investable funds or by selling portions of the best performing asset classes and using the proceeds to purchase additional amounts of the underperforming asset classes.
