Insurance to cover illness and accidents. Policies are sold with an annual deductible, usually $100 to $250. After the deductible is met, the insurance will pay a percentage of all covered medical costs, the standard is 80%. After reaching the stop loss clause, the policy pays 100% of all charges up to the policy limits.
